I don’t think people acknowledge others enough in our society. I made this quick card one night for my eldest daughter because she helped me out. Hollie had only just turned 8. It was a busy evening (aren’t they all when you have young kids?) and I hadn’t had time to get the washing off the line. I was cooking dinner. My darling husband wasn’t home. I wasn’t getting flustered. The kids were nagging because they were hungry and were fighting with each other because, hey that’s what you do at the end of the day and you just want to go to bed. Hollie, seeing me a little flustered and knowing I wanted to get the washing off the line, offered to take the washing in for me. Isn’t that just so sweet?
Hollie loves creating. Hollie loves praise. I left this outside her room so she could see it when she got up. Nothing special but the sentiment was what was special. She loved it and even now thinking about her taking the washing off the line for me makes me smile. What a lovely girl.
To create this card you will need:
Whisper white card stock
Blackberry Bliss cardstock and ink.
Scalloped edge punch
Hearts border punch
Big News for the sentiment and the hearts in the background.
