Welcome to the ESAD blog hop. We have amazingly talented demonstrators in Australia and New Zealand. Make sure you leave some love as you hop around. Rachael sent you this way. Isn’t she amazing?
As most of you know I’m obsessed with Project Life. That’s why when they were available for free as a sale-a-bration item I just had to get them. Having 5 kids Project Life is the perfect way to easily document their stories. This is part of Hannah’s album. I found a packet of photos which was labelled HGK Feb 2014! Well sorry, poor neglected middle child but at least it is done now thanks to these freebies from sale-a-bration.
This was a really simple layout. There was quite a bit of story to tell. There wasn’t much need for decoration or embellishment. What was needed was to show the photos and tell the story.
For me, Project Life and scrapbooking is all about the stories that’s why I’ve included close ups of the stories. I LOVE reading other people’s stories. I love the insight into other’s worlds. Imagine the thrill my grandchildren or my great great nephew will get at seeing my hand writing in years to come.
This was another really simple layout. Just a bit of stamping to add some detail and some letter stickers from the Love Story Project Life accessory kit.
Here I stamped with StazOn on the page protector. That’s a bit of fun. I was inspired by my mini album I made and am show casing on my blog tomorrow.
I’ve also added some stamping “good times” down the side of the journaling card just to add a bit of detail. The letter stickers are again from “Love Story” Project Life accessory kit and the stamping “love” is from the occasions catalogue.
I have mentioned before using Photosheet which is a free program to make photo collages. I frequently use this program when I print of phone photos or I have multiples of the same event but I can’t decide which picture to print. It is a really easy program to use. It is a drag and drop program and very useful for Project Life.
There aren’t any embellishments of this page except the banner on the top photo. This is what I love about Project Life- the cards are decorated enough that you don’t need to add embellishments if you don’t want to. Just the stories and you don’t even have to write as much as me. If you haven’t tried Project Life I implore you to give it a go. Use this mini kit which is a freebie with your $90 purchase during sale-a-bration. You can’t go wrong.
You’ll notice the last two pages have had close ups of me. This is because I would have loved to have more photos of my Mum. She was always the one taking photos and was so rarely in the photographs unless my older brother took them. Make sure you take photos of yourself and include them in your album. Trust me, you’ll look back and think, ‘Wasn’t I young then,’ or ‘Gosh, I was so pretty then.’ Let yourself be part of the memories of your family.
Here is the Let’s Get Away Project Life kit and accessory kit on my YouTube channel. It’s perfect for all your travel pages.
Thank you for reading my stories. I hope I have inspired you to give Project Life a go. Enjoy the rest of the blog hop and be sure to leave some comments as you go around. Why not subscribe to the blogs as you visit them. We all love new subscribers.
