This was such a quick and easy layout to create. The colour inspiration for the layout came from the blue thread. This was found while sweeping the house and comes from a piece of Lisa’s clothing. The thread was already in rings which again inspired the circular design.
I started the layout with a kids water colour set and painted some random sized circles all over the 12×12 piece of whisper white. I then added lots of water to the water colour pallet and used the brush to tap splatters of colour diagonally across the page.
In my scrap basket in front of my work space were these strips of scraps which were from a card class I ran years ago and I had pulled out to take to the retreat I ran at the beginning of April but hadn’t put away. The colours coordinated very well so I had to attach them with the Stampin’ Up! mini stapler. The scalloped edge was from one of the Stampin’ Up! accessory kits which are in the clearance rack.
Add a bit of stamping around the page.
I created these layers and quickly journalled my story and I now have another layout completed for Kevin’s scrapbook.
