ESAD 2017 Holiday catalogue blog hop

You’ve arrived from Megan Lenske.

Christmas supplies have always been my weakness. I normally buy so many papers and embellishments and stamps. Do you just go all crazy for Christmas supplies too?

There was one set that completely captivated me in the holiday catalogue. With a ballet loving 10 year old how could I pass up Suagrplum Dreams? I mean it’s not just a Christmas set. Check out Jessica’s 10th birthday card.

A very simple card using only 2 colours, Powder Pink and Berry Burst. I love the tone on tone stamping for the background and the cardstock strip across the card. The strip is simply using the flower and leaves from Number of Years. The only thing that was tricky with this card was fussy cutting the ballerina. I think totally worth it for the effect it has.

Every year I create a December Daily type Christmas album and I love to look over how our Christmases have changed over the years so I am very pleased with the inclusion of the Merry Little Christmas Memories and More this year. It looks great and so easy to use. Be sure to check back in October after my retreat to see how I’ve started the album ready for assembly in December.

ESAD blog hop- favourites

Thanks for the wonderful creations you shared Linda Whalley.

Is it even possible to have favourites? This catalogue has some amazing products.

I am always one for a scrapbooking page or two. That’s what I usually do on these hops. I rarely post photos of my cards even though I hold at least 2 classes a month. I should make sure I do that.

As many of you know I love pocket scrapbooking and am an admin to a large facebook group. Of course using the new Memories and More I had to create a few layouts. Let me know what you think.

These two pocket pages were using the Perfect Days Memories and More set. I love to use anything with and black and white base. It makes it so easy to use. So much more versatile.

annual17_p192e

This side is of page is the Louvre. I used a a more colourful selection of cards. You will see on the reverse side there are cards from the same kit however I have used black and white only so they would match my photos of Notre Dame.

Amity Knight (7).jpg

With a few embellishments these can be stunning pages but of course you can ALWAYS just use the cards as is. No need for embellishments.

What do you think? Would you like to pocket scrapbooking for your memories?

For this page I used the Designer Series Paper Coffee Break to create a page about our trip to Europe last year. These photos are from our first day adventuring around Paris. Coffee was a must and these papers were perfect for this page.

I fussy cut the cups, coffee pots and plunger from paper in the set. I like the way I was able to create some beautiful embellishment clusters using this paper. I don’t mind fussy cutting. It is a mindless task and easy to complete when you want to craft but are a little bit tired or lost for direction.

ESAD blog hop sneak peek

Sneak Peek Blog Hop Header-001

Thanks for dropping in from Donna’s amazing blog.

Of course when it comes to a new catalogue I like nothing more than seeing all the new scrapbooking items. What is your favourite section of a new catalogue? Today I’m focussing on the Moments Like These Project Life kit, Moment Like These accessory kit and the Moments Like these stamp set. Trust me you’ll love these.

I appologise for the photos. I tried on numerous occasions to get photos of these layouts without the glare but I just couldn’t manage it. Hopefully you can read some of the journaling. That’s the most important thing to me. The journaling.

2015-05-31 sneak peek blog 002

A bit of subtle tone on tone.

2015-05-31 sneak peek blog 004

So here’s a tip for you. Don’t get caught up in whether or not you have enough photos to fill the entire spread. I work out of order when I scrapbook. If you don’t have enough photos to make an entire page just leave them blank until you get to the next month and you can slip those photos in. Leave them blank and if you don’t have photos to go in there just add some filler cards. Your album can be a work in progress. Don’t forget it’s about getting the memories recorded. It doesn’t have to be perfect or complete.

2015-05-31 sneak peek blog 001

There is very little in the way of embellishments on these pages. I just added a few stamps and some of the stickers from the accessories kit. Simple and easy and allows you to get it done.

2015-05-31 sneak peek blog 006

These following photos were taken on my iPhone. They are very bad quality but I just had to include them in my album as they were taken when I took the kids to visit my Dad and step-Mum. We don’t often see them so it was important for me to include these photos in our family album.

2015-05-31 sneak peek blog 009

Don’t you just love that little wood veneer bow? It is from the accessories kit and is soooo cute.

Just some subtle detail by adding in a die cut from the butterfly dies.

I have a video of the whole kit if you’re interested just check out my YouTube channel. It really is a versatile kit.

Retirement list Blog Hop

ESAD Retirement List Header-001

A group of amazing Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and members of ESAD decided to showcase a heap of retiring product for you. Want to see what we love?

I created this album for my mother-in-law for her 70th birthday. It was so easy to do with the Project Life products we sell. Don’t worry. Project Life isn’t leaving our range we are just retiring all but one kit and bringing in a heap of new kits. That’s awesome right? Currently the Project Life kits are half price. That’s even better.

2015-02-05 PK's birthday album 001

A video showing the whole album will be uploaded to YouTube and posted here tomorrow so make sure you pop back and check it out.

So easy. Just add a few stamped images in co-ordinating colours and you’re done.

2015-02-05 PK's birthday album 004

I had guests, including my children, write on a card to include in the album. It was so easy to put together because they, the guests, had done most of the hard work for me. All I had to do was trim the photos and pop them in. Embellishments were optional.

2015-02-05 PK's birthday album 014

I left a few blank journaling cards so my mother-in-law could include some of her own journaling of the day. One of my favourite stamps to be retiring is this camera stamp. I use it all the time in my scrapbooking and in my project life. It’s called Snapshot and I just love it.

2015-02-05 PK's birthday album 032

This stampset Sketched Birthday is another favourite of mine for both scrapbooking and card making. It just looks so good when you fussy cut the little balloons out.

2015-02-05 PK's birthday album 031

This butterfly is from Butterflies thinlits and is just the baking paper I used to make it easier to pop out the cardstock from the die. this is a beautiful die and I’m so glad it will be in the new catalogue.

Tomorrow I will be uploading my Youtube video of this album so make sure you check back in.

Thanks for stopping by. Next you’ll be visiting Narelle. If you get lost please see the bottom of my post for a full list of blog hop participants.

OCC SAB 2015 ESAD BLOG HOP-001

Welcome to the ESAD blog hop. We have amazingly talented demonstrators in Australia and New Zealand. Make sure you leave some love as you hop around. Rachael sent you this way. Isn’t she amazing?

As most of you know I’m obsessed with Project Life. That’s why when they were available for free as a sale-a-bration item I just had to get them. Having 5 kids Project Life is the perfect way to easily document their stories. This is part of Hannah’s album. I found a packet of photos which was labelled HGK Feb 2014! Well sorry, poor neglected middle child but at least it is done now thanks to these freebies from sale-a-bration.

2015-02-15 project Life blog hop 001

This was a really simple layout. There was quite a bit of story to tell. There wasn’t much need for decoration or embellishment. What was needed was to show the photos and tell the story.

2015-02-15 project Life blog hop 003

For me, Project Life and scrapbooking is all about the stories that’s why I’ve included close ups of the stories. I LOVE reading other people’s stories. I love the insight into other’s worlds. Imagine the thrill my grandchildren or my great great nephew will get at seeing my hand writing in years to come.

2015-02-15 project Life blog hop 005

This was another really simple layout. Just a bit of stamping to add some detail and some letter stickers from the Love Story Project Life accessory kit.

Here I stamped with StazOn on the page protector. That’s a bit of fun. I was inspired by my mini album I made and am show casing on my blog tomorrow.

I’ve also added some stamping “good times” down the side of the journaling card just to add a bit of detail. The letter stickers are again from “Love Story” Project Life accessory kit and the stamping “love” is from the occasions catalogue.

I have mentioned before using Photosheet which is a free program to make photo collages. I frequently use this program when I print of phone photos or I have multiples of the same event but I can’t decide which picture to print. It is a really easy program to use. It is a drag and drop program and very useful for Project Life.

There aren’t any embellishments of this page except the banner on the top photo. This is what I love about Project Life- the cards are decorated enough that you don’t need to add embellishments if you don’t want to. Just the stories and you don’t even have to write as much as me. If you haven’t tried Project Life I implore you to give it a go. Use this mini kit which is a freebie with your $90 purchase during sale-a-bration. You can’t go wrong.

You’ll notice the last two pages have had close ups of me. This is because I would have loved to have more photos of my Mum. She was always the one taking photos and was so rarely in the photographs unless my older brother took them.  Make sure you take photos of yourself and include them in your album. Trust me, you’ll look back and think, ‘Wasn’t I young then,’ or ‘Gosh, I was so pretty then.’ Let yourself be part of the memories of your family.

Here is the Let’s Get Away Project Life kit and accessory kit on my YouTube channel. It’s perfect for all your travel pages.

Thank you for reading my stories. I hope I have inspired you to give Project Life a go. Enjoy the rest of the blog hop and be sure to leave some comments as you go around. Why not subscribe to the blogs as you visit them. We all love new subscribers.

Project Life Birthday spread

Last year my little, or should I say younger sister?, turned 21. Such a special time in the life of a young person. I’m so glad she decided to have a quiet celebration with family.

Project Life Christmas

Are you  preparing for Christmas? Have you created your layouts for last year? If you’re like me you’re running a bit behind schedule. Project Life offers the perfect solution. It is a quick and easy way to get your memories into an album.

My pages are all really simple because I have 5 children to create pages for as well as doing our family album. I also love to scrapbook traditionally and that is my main focus. I want to dedicate as much time as possible to traditional scrapbooking. If I can do Project Life with 5 kids you can give it a go too. Imagine the memories you’ll be able to leave your children.

Last year we had my daughter’s kindy graduation. As the journaling says, when did that begin to happen? I know it is the next phase of education but seriously.
