ESAD blog hop- favourites

Thanks for the wonderful creations you shared Linda Whalley.

Is it even possible to have favourites? This catalogue has some amazing products.

I am always one for a scrapbooking page or two. That’s what I usually do on these hops. I rarely post photos of my cards even though I hold at least 2 classes a month. I should make sure I do that.

As many of you know I love pocket scrapbooking and am an admin to a large facebook group. Of course using the new Memories and More I had to create a few layouts. Let me know what you think.

These two pocket pages were using the Perfect Days Memories and More set. I love to use anything with and black and white base. It makes it so easy to use. So much more versatile.

This side is of page is the Louvre. I used a a more colourful selection of cards. You will see on the reverse side there are cards from the same kit however I have used black and white only so they would match my photos of Notre Dame.

With a few embellishments these can be stunning pages but of course you can ALWAYS just use the cards as is. No need for embellishments.

What do you think? Would you like to pocket scrapbooking for your memories?

For this page I used the Designer Series Paper Coffee Break to create a page about our trip to Europe last year. These photos are from our first day adventuring around Paris. Coffee was a must and these papers were perfect for this page.

I fussy cut the cups, coffee pots and plunger from paper in the set. I like the way I was able to create some beautiful embellishment clusters using this paper. I don’t mind fussy cutting. It is a mindless task and easy to complete when you want to craft but are a little bit tired or lost for direction.

I hope you enjoyed all my creations.

Monday Memories – Today

Monday Memories is back. My goal is to post a layout from the weekend every Monday. Who is going to help keep me accountable?

Another one of my goals is to use up my stash. You should see my scrap room. It is soooo full of supplies, paper especially. Let’s use it up.

This layout called Today was one of my favourite layouts of recent times. It was a lot of fun to do.

Just texture paste over a mask then dripping the re-inkers down the page.

The awesome camera is coloured in with blendabilities. How good does it look?

I loved that camera stamp and I can’t bring myself to ever get rid of it. Here’s to using your stash.

Scrap creation

I love to create but lately I just haven’t had the mojo or I’ve had it at completely the wrong time, you know like when we’ve got some place to be or it’s late at night and I’m about to go to bed and I have to get up early. There is also the fact that it has been Christmas and New Year’s and my birthday and our wedding anniversary and the return of work and, and, and.

I’ve started my Friday night crafty gathering again in the hope that having a designated crafty time will make me do something even if it is just sorting out photos while I chat to my friends so if you’re local and free on a Friday night come along.

This is the last layout I created. Last year some time. It was meant to be part of a blog hop but I got sick and couldn’t finish my post. It was after that when I fell off the creative wagon. Here’s hoping I get back on it.

I used to create a lot of layouts using patterned paper backgrounds and I hadn’t done so in a long time. I was inspired by Shimelle who mainly creates with patterned paper backgrounds and I’ve followed her for years and loved all her work for a long, long time. Check her out and register for one of her online classes if you can. They are amazing.

These bright papers are available only during Sale-a-bration and are a free set of papers. For every  $90 you spend on product you recieve a free item from the sale-a-bration catalogue. Pretty cool right.

If I was a bit organised in my craft room I would have my sewing machine set up and I’d add a bit of stitching around the edge instead of the pen but I do love the way the pen outlines look.

This stampset is called Lift Me Up  and I love the versatility of this set and the coordinating dies, Up & Away. They are even bundled for 10% off. Pretty good.

I was also challenged by my husband to not create a round the border journaled layout as I am so fond of doing.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my page. Stay tuned for more of my travel album.

ESAD bloghop holiday catalogue scrapping

Welcome to another ESAD blog hop.

You will have arrived from Nicole’s blog and her beautiful Christmas card.

I have been getting into a lot of mixed media scrapbooking lately and I find our products are perfect for an artistic look. my focus today is on Ghoulish Grunge. Well worth a look.

This very simple layout will be shared in a process video on YouTube this week.

Some close ups.

A fussy cut camera from Pun Intended hostess set. Some more dimension with the Regal enamel shapes. Both layouts also use the heart from Sunshine Wishes die set.

Layout 2. Tower of London

This layout also uses the leaves from Christmas Pines while still having the focus on Ghoulish Grunge.
