Project Life

Project Life Stampin’ Up! style again

If you haven’t heard me bang on about Project Life yet you obviously haven’t been near me for the last 6 years. I have been a huge fan since Becky Higgins brought this system out.

I was ecstatic when Stampin’ Up! announced they were introducing Project Life as part of our line. As a busy mum of 5 Project Life has helped me keep up to date with memory keeping for our family.

You will have arrived here from Kelly’s blog, hopefully you will continue on the blog hop and be inspired to create something yourself.

Everyday Adventure Project Life kit

2014-07-25 Project life 002

This is a really simple version. This system is so awesome because you just print the photos and slip them in, add a bit of journaling and slip in some filler cards to make it all pretty. All I’ve added is the stamps from the Project Life Day to Day stamp set for the “April and the black arrow comes from the set Project Life Point & Click. Both of these sets are photopolymer and stamp just beautifully.

Just a few bits of stamping from your stamp stash and you make a beautiful layout.

This one is totally plain. Nothing but the photos and the Project Life kit.

With this one I stepped it up a bit. I used the Everyday Adventure kit and the Everyday Adventure accessories kit. Just a little layering and some stamping add a whole other level to this layout.  I even stamped on the wood veneer. They are really cute.

I am leaving off the journaling until after I post this because it’s a bit mushy and I get a little embarrassed which is a little stupid because I like to read others’ mushy journaling.

Now you’ll be wanting to head to the next blog post. Next up is Christie. If you get lost I have a list of all the blogs at the bottom of the page for you to refer back to. Have fun being inspired by these wonderful ladies.

Stampin’ Up! convention Melbourne 2014 #inspirecreateshare2014

Day 1 is over and although I am exhausted (not helped by getting up at 6am and running 7km) I am so inspired by this fantastic company I work with.
We creates many projects today. I’ll show a few of them soon. All of these products are available in the new catalogue being released in July.
I am most excited about the project life line in our catalogue and so pleased we were able to create with it today and trial the new photopolymer stamps which coordinate with the project life line but which would be perfect for any scrapbooking project or card project.

We were given the set Kinda Eclectic as part of our convention registration. Here are 4 projects we made with this awesome stamp set.

Tomorrow I’ll be back with another update because this isn’t all the projects I created today. Can you tell I’m so pumped? Awesome. If you’re jealous you’re missing it. Start saving for next year. Everyone is welcome.

Amy Tan, Amy Tan, Amy Tan

Amy Tan is visiting Australia at the moment. I was very excited to see her at Spotlight at Capalaba. I know this post is completely un-Stampin’ Up! related but it is my wonderful craft world related.

2013-04-28 Amy Tan 003

Earlier this year I “met” a group of ladies on a Facebook group for lovers of Project Life. (Now if you haven’t had any experience with Project Life you should check out some of my older posts on my Scrapping Knights blog here. Seriously if you want an easy way to store your photos and memorabilia AND write the stories that go with your photos in a pretty but non-scrapbooking kind of way you should check out Project Life.) I had been involved in the American Project Life group for quite some time and eventually it dawned on me there might be an Australian group. I have found so much inspiration from this online community and such a sense of belonging. I was so grateful to be able to meet some of the them today at Spotlight.

Amy Tan is just the sweetest lady. Her baby bump was so lovely. (I know it’s crazy that someone with 5 kids can get gaa gaa over a baby bump. You think I’d be over that by now.) We all wanted to have our photos taken with her and our little things signed and she was so kind about it and so accommodating. I know at the moment it is her job but still she doesn’t have to. I’m glad I’m not famous because I couldn’t take it. It was bad enough on my wedding day, I’m glad I don’t have to be in the spotlight  again.

I had a wonderful time and I will post my tags and the card I made on my blog later today when there is good light to photograph them.
